The TV and radio presenter has been open about his cosmetic surgery journey
Rylan Clark has candidly shared a “frightful” moment while viewing his teeth on the big screen. The Radio 2 star this week launched his Paramount TV show Dating Naked with an exclusive cinema screening. It has been described as “Love Island without bikinis”.
The concept involves 10 singletons seeking holiday romance in their birthday suits, with new singles arriving to stir up drama by attempting to split up existing couples. The 35-year-old Radio 2 host held the premier this week, with the show set to release on Friday. Reflecting on the experience with Orna Merchant during his Saturday Radio 2 programme, Rylan quipped about the terrifying scale of his teeth in the cinematic setting.
He said: “I did a launch this week for my show and we were in a cinema, seeing my teeth that big on a screen, it was frightful.” Orna kindly responded, “Your teeth are lovely.” Rylan then joked in return and said: “In real life they are. But 4K, 400m tall, absolutely not, I thought I was watching Jaws.”

Speaking to the Daily Star he said: “These teeth were the best and worst decision of my life. For the first three months of Big Brother, I was a terrible TV presenter, but everyone was just talking about my teeth,” reports the Mirror.
Rylan added a note on his professional growth sparked by the distraction his smile created. He said: “By the time they’d stopped talking about my teeth, I was good at my job. Literally, I learned on the job! “.
Rylan’s journey with cosmetic procedures extends beyond his teeth. The former X Factor star has openly discussed having “bits and bobs” of cosmetic surgery, including Botox and fillers.
In his memoir, The Life of Rylan, he recounts an episode where he laughed so hard on live TV that his overfilled lips began to “dribble” down his face. Speaking about the incident on This Morning, he said: “The worst thing happened though. “I laughed and laughed SO much my lip burst open and collagen filler started to dribble out. I’d had a bit too much filler put in the week before. The f***ing horror. Live on TV and half my lip was spread across the floor.”
