Soludo’s wife distributes food items, free medical to celebrate birthday with underprivileged
WIFE of the Anambra State governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has donated food items, cash to over 5,000 widows, widowers and persons with disabilities in the state
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the distribution which also featured free medical checkup was part of activities to celebrate her 54th birthday.
Presenting the food items at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka, Mrs Soludo appreciated them for the sacrifices they are making in raising the children who look up to them for survival.
She said: “I am glad to have you all here to honour me on my 54th birthday today. I am very happy. I urge you all to show love always with your neighbours.”
On her ‘Healthy Living’ campaign, Mrs Soludo advised the beneficiaries to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating natural food and vegetables.
The beneficiaries while thanking her for the gesture, appealed to other wealthy individuals in the society to invest in the underprivileged as their prayers know no bounds.
