NAFDAC To Clamp Down On Restaurants Over Poor Hygiene.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says it will clamp down on restaurants and fast food outlets in Kaduna State over poor hygiene.

The State Coordinator, NAFDAC, Nasiru Mato disclosed this in Kaduna on September 09, 2022.

Mato noted that the intention of the agency was to make sure that the restaurant operators observe good hygiene practice.

He said the agency had found out that some of the fast food outlets did not follow the guidelines on good hygiene.

According to the State Coordinator, the agency would visit every nook and cranny of the state to check the use of food grade utensils, personal hygiene and environmental hygiene as some of the critical components of good hygiene practice.

“We shall also be looking at recommended storage conditions for all raw materials, use of appropriate apparel and general sanitary condition, including provision of adequate water system convenience,” he said.
