Suspects named as another two charged with violent disorder on Merseyside

Two suspects have been named following violent disorder on Merseyside. The two 38-year-old men will appear in Liverpool Magistrates court tomorrow.

Philip Prescot, 38 years, of Sefton Street, Southport has been charged with violent disorder in connection with disorder in Southport. David Frank Hill, 38 years, of Bianca Street, Bootle has been charged in connection with violent disorder in Liverpool city centre. Both men have been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court at 9.45am on Wednesday 7 August.


Elsie Dot Stancome, seven, Bebe King, six, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine died after a mass stabbing in Southport on Monday July 29. Following the tragedy violence broke out across Merseyside on Tuesday July 30 and on Saturday August 3, more riots erupted in Liverpool city centre and County Road, Walton. Merseyside Police has now charged 15 people in connection with last week’s disorder, with the latest being two men from Sefton.

Three men, Liam Riley, Derek Drummond and Declan Geiran pleaded guilty to violent disorder after disturbances in Southport and Liverpool city centre and will be sentenced tomorrow.
