The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has advised Nigerians to protect themselves against COVID-19.
Hanifa Hamza, the Kwara State Coordinator gave the counsel on Wednesday at a stakeholders’ training in Ilorin.
The official urged people to go for testing, explaining that the virus was real and still spreading.
Hamza further assured that sufficient vaccines were available across the country, NAN reports.
“COVID-19 transmission is crazy. Please don’t relax, it has come to stay like catarrh or malaria.”
Hamza called for precautions, adding that people should not joke with hand sanitiser.
“Take vitamin C, eat a balanced diet regularly, use your nose and booster dose,” she advised.
Jessica Akinrongbe, NCDC Senior Emergency Response Officer advised people below 60 years to take precautionary measures against the virus.
