“It was never my intention to post the video for clout” – Jerry Amilo apologizes to Nigerians
In a new development, Nollywood alumni actor Jerry Amilo has taken to Instagram to tender an apology to the his fans and followers who looked up to him and were disappointed by his recent actions.
Now recall that earlier today, Jerry Amilo, had taken to social media to post the corpse of the late Junior Pope. This video was what confirmed his death.
It was a video of Junior Pope lying on a hospital bed with curtains inserted in his nostrils showing that he was dead. Following all of the backlash leveled against him, Jerry Amilo came out to tender an apology.
He expressed that it was not his intention to chase clout with the video. He also further stated that it was the anxiety of the entire situation because his phone was blaring up and he had to offer people something at the end of the day.
He further stated that him posting the video on his page was a way for him to answer everybody who was calling him and trying to enquire on Junior Pop’s predicament and condition.
He called out some of his colleagues who have been calling him out. He expressed that they were also trying to use him and Junior Pop to chase clout.
Jerry Amilo also told netizens that he would never try to chase clout with the situation because he has been in the game for a long time and would not use the death of a colleague that he personally loves to draw attention to himself.
