Roy Keane left stunned as Gary Neville and Jill Scott make suggestion to Manchester United legend

David Beckham’s sports documentary may have topped Netflix’s viewing figures – but don’t expect one on Roy Keane anytime soon.

The Manchester United legend reacted in bewilderment at the suggestion he could discuss his career in front of a TV crew.

From Amazon’s All or Nothing series to specials on selected sports stars, fans are always keen to take a behind-the-scenes look into athletes’ lives.

But Keane looked less than impressed when his Sky colleagues Gary Neville and Jill Scott suggested he could be the next to be filmed.

During the latest episode of the Stick to Football podcast, Neville, reading out a message from a fan, said: “What is the best sports documentary that hasn’t been made yet?”

With a gleaming smile, Neville then opened his arms out towards his ex-teammate, with Scott gleefully stating: “Keane!”

Keane immediately reacted with a confused and stunned grimace, as he replied: “About what?”

Chipping in, Ian Wright remarked: “About Roy Keane’s life.”

Scott then interjected, where she quipped: “They couldn’t pay him enough though!”

It led an embarrassed looking Keane to say, ‘Oh that would be boring’, before quickly insisting Wright would be worthy of his own documentary.

But the Arsenal icon threw up another person he would love to see in a behind-the-scenes special – 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu.

The 21-year-old has been plagued by repeated injuries since becoming the first qualifier in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam title.

Gerard Pique calls Gary Neville ‘one of Manchester United’s best ever players’, but thinks he’d struggle in today’s game

Speaking of the British tennis star, Wright said: “When you’re talking about what she done, she was ranked 150th when she won the US Open.

“She had to play three qualifying matches, she never lost a set on the way to winning the US Open.

“And she’s injured again, she’s unfortunately done her back. She’s somebody who is so talented, so good, but injuries are causing her problems.

“But that for me in respect of a tournament, if you was to see that as a documentary, it would probably be very eye-opening.”

Scott then playfully suggested a Neville brother’s documentary featuring Phil and Gary could be worth making.

However Wright instantly rejected the idea, joking: “We’ve already seen that, it’s called the Chuckle Brothers!”
