West Ham fans were fuming with Kalvin Phillips after his performance against Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
Phillips, on loan from Manchester City, started against Burnley at the London Stadium looking to reverse some poor form since signing.
But it turned into another miserable outing for the England international after he was roped off at half-time.
The midfielder was also somewhat guilty for the opening goal as Burnley raced into a two-goal lead in the opening half.
David Datro Fofana, on loan from Chelsea, managed to squirm past Phillips before unleashing a jaw-dropping strike to give the Clarets the lead.
David Moyes had seen enough and substituted the former Leeds United star off at half time for Edson Alvarez, along with James Ward-Prowse.
And some fans have had enough of the 28-year-old, who will see his loan expire in the summer with no obligation to buy.
One fan said: “Kalvin Phillips is so, so, so bad. Nobody did any due diligence on that transfer.”
Another wrote: “Kalvin Phillips hooked at half time trailing 2-0 against Burnley. Been awful since going to West Ham. Surely Southgate won’t take him to the Euros [Euro 2024] this summer?”
While a third said: “I know it’s stating the obvious but just how bad is Kalvin Phillips? He has been atrocious and should be nowhere near our starting 11. Terrible player. A disaster.”
And this fan said: “My God Kalvin Phillips is awful, imagine if he gets in the England squad.”
A fifth posted: “Kalvin Phillips is one of the worst footballers I’ve seen play for West Ham.”
And this fan did not hold back and wrote: “Kalvin Phillips might be the worst player we have ever signed. Diabolical.”
Moyes’ decision paid off instantly as Lucas Paqueta bagged one back for the Hammers seconds into the second half.
Danny Ings came off the bench to grab a late equaliser against his former side to complete the turnaround.
This was Phillips’ seventh appearance for West Ham since arriving on loan from City in January.
But the midfielder has only been on the winning side once – in a 3-1 win over Everton he came on off the bench for the final 25 minutes.
This is already the second time that Moyes has taken him off at half-time after also giving him the hook against Arsenal in a match that saw them 5-0 down by the break.
