Nigerian singer, Jaywon Juwonlo has slammed his colleagues, Burna Boy and Odumodublvck over their mindset that no one paved the way for them in the industry.
In an interview with Teju Babyface, he considers it madness for an artiste to make such a statement as he noted one someone paved the way for other artists.
He tackled those who say people can be inspired by another person, but it’s different from someone opening doors you, as he questioned how people learn from others if they didn’t do it first.
Calling Burna Boy’s statement madness, he compared his statement to saying no one inspired him in the industry while growing up.
“Burna is the same thing, talented, and everything. It’s like Burna saying no one paved the way for him. How do you say that? It’s a very wrong thing to say. It is madness, it’s like saying when you were little till no one inspired you.
People will say someone inspired you, is different from someone opening doors for you. Tell me, if someone didn’t do it first, where did people from behind learn it from”.
Elsewhere in the interview, he slammed Odumodublvck for also saying no one paved the way for him as he questioned how he would feel if an upcoming artiste from Abuja said he never paved the way for them.
“I love Odumodublvck even if his music is not all that. How will Odumodublvck feel if an artiste blows up from Abuja and says Odumodu didn’t pave the way for him”.
Recall that last week, Eedris had slammed Burna Boy over a statement he made years back, claiming that none of his senior colleagues had prepared him for success.
Eedris had described his statement as a stup!d talk and the two had traded words online.
Reacting to their drama, Odumodublvck stated that no one paved the way for Wizkid, Burna Boy, and others rather their hustling spirit got them to the top. He, however, stated that though one can be inspired, no one paved the way for another as such credit is for God.
Odumodublvck made it known that no human being in the history of music has paved the way for him and it has only been God, and added that no one should credit themselves in the future for paving the way for him.
Ice Prince and Skibii had also reacted to it, making a mockery of Eedris as they sarcastically hailed him while watching the interview.
