Lyon have reached an agreement over a fee with Nottingham Forest for the potential signature of Orel Mangala, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Mangala was being courted by Napoli earlier in the window but the trail went cold over the last few weeks.
It emerged this week that Lyon are pushing to secure a deal to sign the midfielder from Forest before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Talks have been taking place over the last few days as Lyon seek to take the midfielder to France in the ongoing window.
It has been claimed that an agreement over a fee is in place between Lyon and Nottingham Forest for the midfielder’s potential transfer to France.
The French giants have agreed to pay a guaranteed fee of €27m to Forest with another €3m in add-ons.
If the transfer goes through it would mean a significant profit on the €10.2m Forest forked out for Mangala around 18 months back.
The deal is now dependent on the midfielder accepting a move to Lyon who are third from bottom in the Ligue 1 standings.
