What has happened to them all after the war
Wonder if it ever being bombed during ww2?.
Wow! Thanks for sharing! Is that the final paint job?
What an amazing accomplishment the rate that they could turn these things out
Totally awesome.
I.M.O. Best Overall Allied Bomber of WW2
If I could go back in time, it would be to this place and this time so I could just be in the presence of these awesome machines. We had an old one on display at Perth airport in the 60s and for 20 cents, you could go inside and look around. It was so cramped but I will never forget sliding down into the back turret and lifting those machine guns up and down. I think I was about 10 but I remember it clear as if it was yesterday. My favourite bomber of the war alongside the B17.
