Yep. Mind-melting facts about the universe.
As humans. As a planet. In the broad scheme of things we are irrelevant!
Earth has gone through five mass extinction. It’s likely we are in some stage of a sixth. Humans shall not be here within 2000 years or less. And it’s also likely, we shall meet our worst fears face to face with some crazy huge thing flying around the cosmos and carrying a dance card for Earth. That, will be the last dance. Earth will survive. New bacteria’s, new plant life, Life itself will begin anew. That is our fate. Humans will not be there. Everything you’ve known, will cease to exist. Mars isn’t the answer. Neither IO or our own moon will be a viable solution. And the planets or moons that are viable, can’t be reached for a thousand lifetimes.
In conclusion. Sooner than later. Mankind is doomed.
What they are saying here is that the galaxy if huge, but the Universe is infinite. The number of galaxies is roughly 200 billion, but the number of stars within those galaxies is definitely infinite. (200 billion looks like this) 200,000,000,000. If there is just a trillion galaxies the number of stars would look like this 200,000,000,000,000,000. If most of those stars had an average of 4 planets. That means there would be 400 billion Trillion planets. If just one in a million had some form of life. There would be trillions of planets with some form of life.
How do I know this is true
