Of course, that is it. I know that is the ultimate. It is what you guys call restructuring or constitutional reforms. You won’t get all these problems solved in Nigeria, and at the end of the day, you cannot run away from it. Restoration of federalism is what Nigeria ultimately needs to correct all these internal, inconsistent things. That ranks far above any other constitutional reform.

What advice do you have for the Federal Government on the continuous detention of Nnamdi Kanu?

I don’t know; I don’t see any sense in detaining him any further. And I don’t know because it left me more confused than before. Nnamdi Kanu’s case is political, and the people say the new President, in the spirit of goodwill, should release him. If he (Kanu) is released and he now goes back to start another crisis, then everybody will blame him, but they don’t even give him the chance. It’s a way of normalising the political situation in Nigeria and as I said, the logic of normalising Nigeria can be very confusing. I don’t know what purpose it is to serve by keeping the guy in detention.
