AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has been given just 30 days to turn the team’s fortunes.
Mourinho led the Serie A side to the UEFA Europa Conference League title to end a 14-year trophy drought in his first season.
The Portuguese coach also reached another European final in the next campaign, but two sixth-place finishes in a row have denied them Champions League football. Currently, Roma sit in eighth place after a poor start to the season.
Mourinho is believed to be walking on thin ice and Francesco Balzani has reported that the manager has got one month to pull them back in the top-four race.
His contract ends in the summer and if results are not favourable he might be denied an extension.
Roma is already considering Daniele de Rossi as an interim option. Raffaele Palladino and Vincenzo Montella are also potential alternatives.
