- Former Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele, has been ordered into Kuje prison by a Federal Capital Territory High Court due to alleged procurement fraud. After three postponed sessions, the trial finally proceeded on Friday.
- 26 illegal aliens apprehended in Ayua, near Auchi last week by the Nigeria Police have been handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service for questioning. The Edo State Police Command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, revealed this in Benin on Friday, mentioning the transfer to the Edo State Command of NIS on November 13, 2023.
- Two policemen attached to the Ebonyi State Police Command were reportedly killed by hoodlums in Nwofe, a suburb of Abakaliki metropolis within Izzi Local Government Area. The officers were part of a patrol team conducting surveillance on Friday morning.
