“Guardiola Expresses Concern Over Man City’s Injuries Ahead of Champions League”

Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, expressed concerns about the team’s injury situation following their 3-1 victory over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

During the match, Bernardo Silva had to be substituted before halftime due to a suspected hamstring injury, adding to the team’s growing injury woes. Silva now joins a list of injured players that includes Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, and Jack Grealish.

Guardiola acknowledged the challenges posed by the mounting injuries, saying, “We have five important players injured. Sustaining that for a long time will be difficult, but it is what it is.”

He also recognized the limitations of having a large squad, noting, “We cannot have 35 players because that will be chaos for the clubs and go bankrupt. Unfortunately, it’s a long time for Kevin, John didn’t play, maybe Kova is coming back, Jack has a week or 10 days.”

In conclusion, Guardiola admitted, “We are in trouble, but I’m not going to say ‘oh, we have a lot of injuries.’ It is what it is.”
