2023 WWC: Super Falcons going for victory against Ireland – Ebi
By Mike Oyebola
Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi says the team is in good spirits ahead of Monday’s Group B clash against Republic of Ireland.
The veteran defender further said the team’s confidence has been boosted by their thrilling victory against co-hosts, Australia.
Randy Waldrum’s side occupy top spot in the group and need a point against the Girls in Green to seal a place in the Round of 16.
The Irish are already eliminated from the competition after consecutive defeats to Australia and Canada
“We are very positive and looking forward to the match. The mood in camp is great and everyone is in high spirits,” Ebi told thenff.com.
“The win against Australia has given us the belief and the confidence to face any team. We will play for a win.”
The encounter at the Brisbane Stadium will kick-off at 11 am Nigeria time.
