Manchester United are considering giving Alejandro Garnacho their iconic no.7 shirt, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The 18-year-old winger made his first-team debut against Chelsea in April last year.
Since then, Garnacho has become a regular under manager Erik ten Hag.
Garnacho, who currently wears the No.49 shirt, scored three goals in the Premier League last season and produced impressive cameos from the bench.
However, the teenager may now be set for a promotion with United considering handing him the No 7 shirt.
The shirt was vacated by Cristiano Ronaldo after his acrimonious exit from Old Trafford in December.
Garnacho, who signed a five-year deal with United in April, could now be bestowed the honour.
