Why are today’s youths no more hard-working

We need to talk about this, i observe an attitude in many of our youths in the world today, it's as if hard-working is becoming a thing of the past in their lives. Employ them to work, they start displaying lackadaisical attitudes towards their job, yet they want to be paid well. Send them to school, they find it difficult to read, yet they want to pass well. Send them any little thing to do for you, they will do it anyhow and yet be waiting to be fully compensated. What is happening to hard work with integrity and seriousness in today's world?

Are you generalising the youths in the world or our youths in Nigeria?  Well I will answer based on my observation in Nigeria. The first reason I will like to point out is that of parental upbringing. Most parents have failed in this regard. They no longer inculcate discipline, good morals and right attitude to work in their wards. Most of the youths in our society today are lazy spoilt brats who can not do anything but sit with the phone all day reading and posting nonsense on social media. Another reason is that our system is messed up and doesn't reward hardwork, honesty and integrity. Virtually everyone is Corrupt and always looking for ways to cut corners. I blame our leaders for this even though we as individuals are not helping matters but a large chunk of the blame goes to our leaders. In summary, until the parents and our government get things right, the lackadaisical/nonchalant attitude of the youths will continue .
