Why is Nigeria Not Rewarding Her Talented Youths

I have an observation about the way Nigeria treats her talented youths. I noticed they are not rewarded here until they struggle to leave for the western world or they are noticed by the whites. Thus, we have so many talents that would have been useful for the country becoming citizens of another country in the fields of Sport, Academics, Science, Technology etc. My question: why are we not rewarding our talented youths here?
