Alejandro Garnacho was Manchester United‘s match-winner against Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
In the Premier League’s final fixture before the Qatar World Cup break, the teenage sensation scored a dramatic injury-time goal to secure a priceless 2-1 victory for Erik ten Hag’s side.
Garnacho came on for Anthony Martial in the second half of play at Craven Cottage and made an instant impact.
Everything positive that United produced late on seem to come through the fleet-footed Argentine and in stoppage-time, he emulated a young Cristiano Ronaldo.
Garnacho finished off a sweeping move from the Red Devils and the burst of pace he displayed to breeze past Bobby Decordova-Reid was quite something.
The one-two with fellow goalscorer Christian Eriksen was executed to perfection, while the finish past Bernd Leno was top notch too.
The kid really is a superstar in the making and the confident celebration will certainly go down well with United fans as well – unless they think he was copying Lionel Messi‘s famous celebration against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Garnacho’s meteoric rise at Man Utd
Garnacho really has enjoyed a stellar week in United colours overall.
On Thursday against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup, he became the youngest player in the club’s long history to record two assists in one competitive match.
That followed on from his brilliant goal in United’s 1-0 victory away at Real Sociedad in their final UEFA Europa League group stage game.
After the winter World Cup break, don’t be surprised if Garnacho is a permanent fixture in United’s forward line.
