Contestants in the 2022 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant were unveiled by the organisers, Silverbird Group, on Friday.

The cinema floor at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos, was graced with the presence of the organisers and contestants selected from different states, including the Federal Capital Territory.

The event, which will crown this year’s winner, will hold on Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Eko Hotel and Suite, Lagos. The winner will represent Nigeria at the Miss World beauty pageant, while the first, second, third and fourth runners-up will represent the country at the Miss Universe, Miss Supranational, Miss ECOWAS, and Miss Tourism beauty pageants respectively.

Personalities present at the unveiling included the President of the Silverbird Group, Guy Murray-Bruce; the winner of the MBGN 2021, Oluchi Madubuike; stylist, Sari Ajaj; and international choreographer, Juliette Hagerman.

In his remark, Murray-Bruce thanked the partners of the pageant who had been supportive so far. He also promised that the event would be a great one.

In an interview with Merrymakers, the reigning MBGN queen, Madubuike, shared her experience since she was crowned. She also advised the contestants to work hard and keep their dreams valid.

She said, “My experience is a rollercoaster and life-changing. I think the opportunity that I had is one that a lot of girls in this room will hope to have because it was very blissful. I went to Puerto Rico for the Miss World. I also got to help children living with cancer, which was the project I worked on.

“My biggest advice will be that the contestants should work hard and keep their dreams valid. Most importantly, they need to be present in this moment. I really want them to enjoy this experience.”
