Manchester United fans were in raptures on Thursday night, as Amad Diallo scored a dramatic late hat-trick as they beat Southampton 3-1 in the Premier League.
It was the Saints who took the lead through Manuel Ugarte’s own goal from a corner kick.
It has been 91 years since United last lost more than three home league games in a row and a fourth looked likely.
But Amad forced home the equaliser in the 82nd minute.
The Ivorian then played a delightful one-two with Christian Eriksen in the 90th minute to put United ahead.
Amad then latched onto a characteristic Saints defensive mishap to clinch the match-ball and transform the night.
Victory lifts United above three London clubs into 12th and builds on that FA Cup win over Arsenal at the weekend.
@RadarView had a message for his life partner. He tweeted “How do I explain to my future wife that our first son’s name will be ‘Amad’?”
But @ivan_gra5ix was keen to shower praise on another United player. He said: “Eriksen’s Pass to Amad. Omg!!! What a beauty
@akalizaliza21 wrote: “Amad hat-trick and my word does he deserve that. Manchester United’s star boy . Saved this team from absolute embarrassment in 10 minutes. Unbelievable.”
For @garnachy0, his message was for the former manager. He tweeted: “Ten Hag needs to be sent to The Hague for benching this talent. Justice for Amad! ”
