Kaduna state Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has named Kabiru Yakubu Jarimi, the immediate past Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government Area (LGA), as his Special Adviser on Local Government Affairs.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, is part of the governor’s efforts to strengthen rural transformation programs and foster collaboration with local government councils.
The governor expressed confidence in Jarimi’s ability to deliver results, given his extensive experience in local government administration.
Kabiru Jarimi served two terms as the Executive Chairman of LGA, where he championed community-centered policies and initiated transformative programs in security, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
A statement from Ibraheem Musa, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, described Jarimi as a public official known for his strategic governance, ethical leadership, and commitment to sustainable development.
The appointee’s track record includes building partnerships across various sectors to improve public service delivery and enhance social services in Kaduna South.
Governor Uba Sani urged Jarimi to approach his role with dedication, fairness, and innovation while wishing him success and divine guidance in his new assignment.
Kabiru Jarimi, who holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology, along with other advanced qualifications in Computer Science, has been recognised for his leadership and contributions to economic development.
He has also participated in several national and international workshops on governance, youth empowerment, and financial management.
