The Welsh dancer heaped praise on her close friend after the glitterball win
Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden was blown away as she shared Dianne Buswell’s kind gesture. The Welsh dancer was thrilled to return to the BBC show studio after she had to withdraw from this year of the competition.
Fans were thrilled as they spotted Amy back on the BBC show at the start of the episode in the professionals dance. Amy was in attendance for one of the best finals in Strictly history as Chris McCausland Dianne Buswell were crowned this season’s winners.
Amy took to Instagram after their triumph to issue a tribute to her fellow Strictly professional. The 34-year-old revealed Dianne would always be there for her in time of need in a a heartfelt tribute.
She said: “My bestie @diannebuswell and my talented friend, who works so hard but is so loyal, caring everything a girl needs! Every few days would always check in, always stayed true to herself. Gosh you did such an incredible and inspiring job! @chrismccauslandcomedy in utter awe of you! Congratulations champs!”

Dianne was in tears at various points during the episode during an emotionally charged Strictly final. She was thrilled to lift the glitterball as she heaped praise on her Scouse partner.
She said: “Chris said this is for me, but this is not for me. This is for me and you Chris. This is for both of us. We did it.” Fans took to the comments after Amy’s post to congratulate Amy on her return and praise this season’s eventual winners.
Phillip said: “Huge congratulations! Loved seeing you on the dance floor tonight. Your graciousness is never ending… cant wait to see you back v soon … get lots of rest! Happy Christmas.”
Amelia commented: “Nothing is as special as friendship” Aimee commented: “your friendship is super special and the support you girls have for each other is unmatched “
Lesley posted: “Best final ever. That was amazing.” Linda commented: “A wonderful final.” Amy was forced to withdraw form this season after she suffered a foot injury.
She was replaced by Lauren Oakley, who picked up where she left off with partner JB Gill. Amy issued a special tribute to her co-stars ahead of tonight’s final as they put in a near perfect performance in an incredible final.
She said: “Wishing these two all the luck in the world. Go dance your heart outs but most importantly enjoy every second and beat on that dance floor. I’m so proud of you @jbgill, I knew from day one you could go all the way!
“Your talent and kindness has shone through and I know how proud you’ve made your family! I’ll be there cheering you on! Thank you @laurenmayoakley for being so utterly brilliant and beautiful right @bbcstrictly final let’s go!”
