BAT MARKETING TEAM IS LOOKING FOR A SHOPPER MARKETING EXECUTIVE
Reports To: Shopper Marketing Manager
FUNCTION: Marketing
LOCATION: Selangor, Malaysia
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Shopper Marketing Executive is required to support the management, development and execution of all trade programs (Promotions, Staff advocacy etc) across their regional global travel retail location scope (AME or APMEA) with the ambition of being the Accelerator to a Smokeless World. Working in close collaboration with the trade team, focusing on in-store execution excellence and Brand Ambassador management.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Key Accountabilities:
Operational/Professional/Business:
- Well verse in implementing in-store execution excellence (e.g. comms, promotions, planogramming, etc)
- Day to day management and deployment – ensuring right coverage at the right time in the right locations
- Partner with the global BA agencies team to ensure delivery of SLA, targets and 121 scope in time on full.
- Developing and deployment of the field cycle instructions and relevant trainings
- Support the development of multi-category trade promo calendar – driving successful implementation in store and regular review of mechanics
- Implementing planogram & merchandising guidelines for GTR locations
- Generate shopper insights to support in deployment of trade programs
- Work closely alongside Marketing Deployment Function on Permanent POSM development and deployment
- Point of reference for the brand team, trade team and cycle activation executives for development & deployment of all direct engagement activities, including temp promoter activities.
- Budget management and target management
Management, Leadership & Relationships
- Effective business engagement with Brand Deployment, Category, Trade, Finance & Senior Leadership
- Leadership of local and remotely based teams as well as agencies and GFF staff.
- Drive understanding, two-way communication, and purchase of travel retail activities & strategies with relevant internal business personnel.
- Collaborate closely with GTR cross functional team members to optimize business performance.
- Ensure GTR governance and policies obligations are met.
- Build a solid and sustainable succession pool
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Qualification in Marketing
- Experience in Trade Marketing or related field are beneficial
- Project management skills are desired
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and learn on the job in a fast-paced environment
- Financial knowledge is beneficial
- Ability to influence stakeholders, both locally and remotely located, across geographies and time zones
- Written and spoken fluency in English (proficiency in another language is desirable not essential)
- Willingness to travel as and when needed by the business
