Latest Liverpool injury news as Arne Slot deals with several fitness concerns for the Premier League clash against Newcastle
Liverpool and Newcastle United will both have players sidelined for their Premier League clash this weekend. The Reds will travel to St James’ Park looking to secure another three points in the title race.
Arne Slot guided Liverpool to a 2-0 win over Manchester City at the weekend to move nine points clear of Arsenal and Chelsea in the table. Slot was forced to deal with several injury concerns for the win at Anfield, and that looks set to continue for the clash against Newcastle.
Ibrahima Konate missed the win over City with an injury he suffered against Real Madrid in the Champions League last week. The centre-back is set for a spell on the sidelines and will not be available to face Newcastle.

Conor Bradley is also out as he recovers from a hamstring injury he suffered in the victory over Madrid. Kostas Tsimikas remains unavailable for the trip to St James’ Park, having missed the last three matches.
Alisson Becker is closing in on a return to the matchday squad after suffering a hamstring injury at the start of October, but the club will not rush the Brazilian back into the team amid the form of Caoimhin Kelleher. Federico Chiesa could return to the team after being sidelined for several weeks with a fitness issue.
Diogo Jota has been sidelined with a rib injury since the middle of October, and the club will hope that the Portugal international will return before the end of the month. It remains to be seen what Jota will return to the squad, but is not expected to be available to face Newcastle.
Newcastle also have their own injury concerns. Alexander Isak picked up a knock in their draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend, and Eddie Howe confirmed the striker had not taken part in training as of Tuesday morning.
Sven Botman, Jamaal Lascelles and Emil Krafth all remain sidelined for the Magpies with injury and are not expected to be available to face Liverpool. Dan Burn was also a concern for Newcastle after dealing with an ankle injury last week but was fit enough to feature against Palace at the weekend.
