Roles and Responsibilities
The AIMS Technician will be responsible for the following:

  • Interpretation of equipment instruction and maintenance manuals, schematic drawings, and diagnosis.
  • Inspection and maintenance of Static Equipment (14 Crude Oil Tanks, over 20 Pressure Vessels, pipelines, pipings, 6nos Heaters, 2nos Heat Exchangers, etc)
  • Job Risk Assessments / Permit to Work preparation.

Work Experience

  • Experience in SPDC Crude Export Terminal operations (Preferably Forcados Terminal) is a strong prerequisite. This includes valid API 650, API 653, API 510, or API 570 certifications and good acquaintance with decades old installed static equipment and instant ability to inspect and maintain them.

Key Skills:

  • Certified in ASNT Level 2, MPT Level 2, DPT Level 2 & API 570 standards
  • Conversant with to ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II) or PCN Level II in NDE methods (UT, PT, MPT, RFI)
  • Conversant with requirements of ASME Sec V, VIII & IX

About the Role

  • We are looking for an experienced Cloud Native Support Engineering Manager to join our Engineering Department and deliver world class support. You will report to the Director of Site Reliability Engineering and work closely with our project management team.
  • As a Cloud Support Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our rapidly growing Cloud Native Support Engineering team. Initially, you will manage 1-2 direct reports and this number will grow over time.
  • Working closely with the CTO and Engineering Directors, you will drive several key initiatives: identifying process improvements, reporting on key metrics, identifying gaps in our teams, defining job descriptions for roles to fill them, and owning hiring processes to find top support engineering talent and build a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Your team will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our clients’ individual needs. Your team will not only support our clients, but always play a vital role in supporting the internal operations of the Deimos team.
  • These will include account management, maintaining our cloud accounts, improving our overall security posture and improving our onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • When not working on support or operational tasks, the members of the team will be contributing to the projects they are supporting as Individual Contributors, following the guidance of the engineering team who owns the project(s).

Inbound Freight:

  • Count all products, compare to waybill and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates
  • Report shortages, damages and mis-shipments on appropriate forms, and communicate any discrepancies observed during receipt or release of goods to the warehouse officer.

Storage:

  • Maximize space usage and safely put away items on the floor or racks
