The Nigerian Army has released the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) founder, Fisayo Soyombo.

The Acting Deputy Director of Public Relations, 6 Division of the Army, Danjuma Danjuma, had earlier on Friday announced the arrest of the investigative journalist alongside other suspects at an illegal oil bunkering site in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

One of Soyombo’s lawyers, Abimbola Ojenike, confirmed his release to journalists Friday night.
