Armando Broja could be involved with the Everton first team squad for the first time at Manchester United says manager Sean Dyche
Sean Dyche has revealed he’s spoken to Armando Broja about the possibility of him making his Everton debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Albania international striker joined the Blues on loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day with an option for a permanent deal, but he has yet to kick a ball for the senior side due to an Achilles injury.
Broja played 45 minutes for Everton Under-21s in the 1-0 defeat at their Watford counterparts on Monday and he will start another U21s fixture against Nottingham Forest today (Friday, 3pm kick-off) at Finch Farm. Dyche said: “AB (Broja) is in front of Youssef (Chermiti). Youssef it’s only just his start point really.
“But AB’s looking really fit, so that’s good. Seamus (Coleman) is at least getting back on the grass with us, it probably won’t be enough for this weekend but he’s showing signs of truly getting fit if you like, after an up and down time with niggly injuries.

“There are playing still getting back to full fitness, full Premier League fitness, if you like. It’s coming, I don’t want to say too much because every time we do, we lose players again, but hopefully they’ll stay fit and keep getting fitter.”
In terms of Broja’s chances of being part of the Everton squad for Ruben Amorim’s first Premier League home fixture as Manchester United manager, Dyche said: “We’ll see how he goes today. We’re certainly going to monitor his minutes today.
“He’s done a real lot of background work, and feeling good. I’ve spoken to him about possibly being involved, so we’ll see.”
Midfield duo James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam are not ready to return yet though. Dyche said: “They’re a little bit behind, Jimmy (Garner) particularly, he’s not there yet, as in on the grass. Tim’s just about in the early phases of coming back but it’s going to be a while, it’s a strange sort of injury so we’ve got to be careful with that.”
